Our Journey Through the Decades 

A legacy of innovation, sustainability, and engineering excellence. 

Savita, born on 19th July 1961, has come a long way since and celebrated its glorious 50 years in 2011. The company is determined to maintain this growth trajectory.

1961–1976

The Foundation Years 

Savita was incorporated by Late Mr. Nandkishore Mehra and Mr. Devichand Mehra, beginning operations at Sakinaka, Mumbai with liquid paraffin as an import substitute. We soon expanded with a second facility at Turbhe and set up India’s first private-sector R&D Centre in the petroleum industry. 

1989–1998

Growth with Purpose 

A new plant in Mahad, a second private R&D centre, and an ISO 9001 certification — Savita became the first Indian private petroleum company to earn this global quality standard. 
This decade also saw the commissioning of our fourth manufacturing unit at Kharadpada, Silvassa. 

1999–2002

A Global & Green Outlook 

We entered the renewable energy space by commissioning our first windmill in Maharashtra. 
Soon after, Savita was recognized as a Government Star Export House, exporting to over 75 countries.  

2007–2013

New Identity, New Infrastructure 

Launched SAVSOL, our own brand of lubricating oils, and became Savita Oil Technologies Limited. We also set up a fully automated plant at Silvassa to manufacture the full range of specialty oils.

2018–2024

Innovation Meets Sustainability 

Re-launched SAVSOL in a green avatar, introduced Bio Boost, one of India’s most biodegradable engine oils, and celebrated 60 years of excellence. 
In 2024, we launched SAVSOL ESTER 5 powered by Ester Fluid Technology, with Sidharth Malhotra as brand ambassador.
